Ben Butler Launches Campaign for Congress in Florida’s 9th District with Strong Support Out of the Gate
Okeechobee, FL — Ben Butler, a lifelong ninth-generation Floridian, agricultural leader, businessman, and public servant, today announced his campaign for Congress in Florida’s 9th Congressional District.
Butler is running to support working families, strengthen Florida’s economy, defend conservative values, and advance President Donald Trump’s America First agenda.
He is announcing with significant support out of the gate, including endorsements from Congresswoman Kat Cammack, Congressman Greg Steube, and many others.
“Florida deserves leaders with real-world experience who understand the impact government decisions have on families, farmers, small businesses, and local communities because they’ve lived it themselves,” said Butler. “I’m running for Congress to fight for Florida families, support our economy, protect our conservative values, and ensure the next generation has the same opportunities that made Florida such a great place to live and work.”
Raised in Central Florida, Butler helped build and operate Butler Oaks Farm, a multi-generational dairy and cattle operation. Throughout his career, he has worked in agriculture, conservation, and public service, focusing on practical solutions that support Florida communities and protect the state’s natural resources.
Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Butler to the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board in 2019, 2021, and 2024, where he has helped oversee issues involving Everglades restoration, water supply, flood protection, and environmental stewardship across South Florida.
Congresswoman Kat Cammack (FL-03) released the following statement supporting Butler’s campaign:“Ben Butler knows Florida because he’s lived it, worked it, and fought for it his entire life. He’s an America First fighter who will stand alongside me and many others working to advance President Trump’s
agenda in Congress.
As a farmer, conservation advocate, and leader on the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board, Ben understands the balance between protecting our natural resources, supporting agriculture, and keeping our economy strong. He’s the kind of conservative leader we need more of in Washington.”
Congressman Greg Steube (FL-17) also said, “President Trump needs conservative fighters in Congress who are ready to back his agenda and take on the Washington establishment, and Ben Butler is exactly that kind of leader. Ben understands what’s at stake for our country and will stand strong for secure borders, a stronger economy, American energy, and putting America First every single day.
“I’ve seen Ben’s commitment to conservative values and his willingness to do the hard work it takes to win. He’s the kind of Republican who won’t back down under pressure, and I’m proud to endorse him for Congress.”
